About Me

I’m a Brazilian journalist with over five years of experience in television and multimedia reporting, working across broadcast, digital, and print platforms. I have covered local and national stories in Brazil, developing a versatile approach to journalism in dynamic newsroom environments.

Skilled in TV and online reporting, news writing, field production, documentary scripting, and video/text editing, with a track record of covering human rights, social issues, health, the economy, culture, education, and the environment.

"What interests me is people, culture, and history. That’s why my stories are often seen as different — because they are built on human emotion."

My Story

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). My final thesis project, the documentary “Invisible Layers: Human Trafficking in Onion Plantations in Santa Catarina,” investigated labor exploitation in rural Brazil, focusing on the social structures that allow such practices to persist. Supported by a reporting grant from the Thomson Reuters Foundation (TRF), the project combined field reporting, interviews, and data research to shed light on a largely overlooked issue. The documentary was later recognized with the ACI/Ocesc Journalism Award in the University Journalism category, highlighting its relevance and impact.

Professionally, I have accumulated over five years of experience in television and multimedia journalism in Brazil. My work includes daily reporting, live broadcasting, and the production of in-depth stories across multiple platforms.

From covering the COVID-19 pandemic to cultural stories, my experience across a wide range of topics has given me the confidence to recognize a strong story when I see one.

What I Do

Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Journalism, Media and Globalisation at Aarhus University in Denmark, where I continue to expand my perspective on international media and storytelling. I am especially interested in projects that connect local realities to global contexts, always with a focus on people, culture, and the human experience at the center of every story. I am driven by the belief that journalism plays a key role in helping audiences understand the world around them.
